Commercial Mixed Use
Commercial mixed use development comprising of a hotel, office and residential functions over 52 floors & having a gross floor area of 38,800m2.
The dramatic stepped form with cantilever floor plates is designed to maximise use of the site over the designated zoning restrictions at street level.
The tower is zoned into separate functions with double height structural bands containing shared facilities at mid-level and a rooftop garden.
Designed as a feasibility study for a commercial client for the redevelopment of an under-utilised site in East Berlin, the Kalenderturm would become the tallest commercial tower in Berlin and the fourth tallest in Germany.
